After a brief search i found a more modern picture of the same sign and even a photo from a different one from 2006.
This 85 letters name belongs to a hill somewhere in the south of Hawke Bay in New Zeland. I'm thinking about how you call people that eventually could be born in that place.
By the way the translation of the sign is:
"The place where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, who slid, climbed and swalloed mountains, known as landeater, played his flute to his loved one".
That's love , man!
