IDEAS Y PREJUICIOS #2: Argumentum ad hominem

Este también me parece interesante por la frecuencia con que lo escucho.

También es conocido como argumento dirigido al hombre y consiste en replicar al argumento atacando o dirigiéndose a la persona que realiza el argumento más que a la sustancia del argumento. Tu quoque (‘tú también’ en latín, se basa en que la premisa o consejo presentado por una persona es falsa porque esta misma persona no la sigue) en el que se desvelan trapos sucios suele ser un mecanismo.Ejemplo: Dices que este hombre es inocente pero no puedes ser creíble porque tú también eres un criminal.

Cuántas veces en una discusión nos encontramos con esto? Muy a menudo.

Every argument for God and every attribute ascribed to Him rests on a false metaphysical premise. None can survive for a moment on a correct metaphysics. For instance, God is infinite. Nothing can be infinite, according to the Law of Identity. Everything is what it is, and nothing else.
